Create Your Own Coiled Keychain with Anne Huntington (1)

Everybody uses keychains, and one that’s  thoughtfully hand crafted would be a great addition to anybody’s pocket or purse. Ours will be colorful, durable, and soft to the touch. They weigh next to nothing and feel nice in your hand. In this workshop we’ll make a keychain using the coiled basket technique of wrapping a core material with colorful yarns. We’ll add bead embellishments and a 1 inch ring which is large enough to comfortably and securely hold a half dozen keys. It makes a perfect little gift, and this workshop is a great introduction to anyone interested in learning the techniques of coiled basket making.
