About the event
An inkle loom, also known as a band loom, is a small, portable wooden loom capable of weaving bands from 40 to 105 inches in length, depending on the loom model.
No previous weaving experience is necessary! In this 2-part class, you will learn how to read an inkle weaving draft (aka pattern), dress an inkle loom, and weave your own decorative and functional bands. These narrow strips of woven cloth have a multitude of uses, including wristlets, bag straps, keychains, eyeglass cases, and phone bags.
For this class, you will wind a shorter warp in the colors of your choice and weave a wristlet. From measuring and winding the warp to weaving and finishing your project, this class will give you the full experience of weaving on an inkle loom—from cone to cloth.
This is a 2-part class. First session is July 22, and the second session is July…
