Join Cathy of The Indigo Squirrel for an immersive hands-on indigo dyeing experience!

Discover the magic of indigo—one of the world’s oldest and most captivating dye traditions—known for its rich, luminous blues. In this immersive workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of indigo dyeing while experimenting with a variety of resist techniques, including traditional Japanese shibori.

With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create your own set of four beautifully hand-dyed cotton napkins—each one unique. All materials are included, and additional items will be available for purchase if you’d like to keep dyeing. You can bring an item of clothing (natural fibers work best ) to dye for an additional $15. 

No experience is needed—just come ready to explore, experiment, and enjoy the process.

Please bring a bagged lunch and wear clothing suitable for dyeing, as indigo will stain. This workshop will take place outdoors under a tent rain or shine.
